I just finished up adding a greenhouse, expanding a garden and adding a second area to grow veggies (and tied into landscape irrigation system to automate the sprinklers I added). That kind of work is a good workout and a great way to work off stress.

Edit to ad yikes my pics look like shit but you get the idea.

Walkway complete, moving on to project 4.0, the backyard beds, here’s what I got so far for the look im going for:

got a palm, some hibiscus, purple showers ruellia, orange canna Lilly, some Hawaiian ti aka cordaline, a Bird of paradise, a Split leaf philadenderon, a banana tree, and some lemongrass thanks to @Rebarcock.

I let my garden go over the last two years. About to rent a bobcat to clear it, pop a greenhouse their and a smaller open air garden.

Not sure what type of grass you have, but you might want to consider putting in some plugs to fill the gaps if you don’t want to re-sod entirely. Would also add some lime, which would make the fertilizer more effective.
