• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Mornin croo’

Off to walk the dog. Fucking 40° in late April in the South Carolina lowcountry. Wtf?

Still, off we go. Snubnose .38 in one pocket, vape pen in the other. Dog off the leash for the walk. Country life is the best.

What part of the low country Garnet? Im stuck in Mt P with the 4 kids and wife lifestyle at the moment. We have some property in the country though and I wish I could live out there. One day in the distant future when the kids are out of the house .....

Do you live on the water out there? Been considering buying some land out east somewhere, FL, SC, NC. Preferably, I'd love to have 5+ acres on water somewhere, but I know that's not veryi reasonable in most places.

Across the street from the water. Our good friends, basically family, live on the water across the street from us. They let me use their boat ramp and dock/beach, so I feel like I'm on the water, but my poor ass is not. Lol

Lake Marion and Moultrie are cheap for lakes, but I don't know many lots I've seen anywhere close to 5 acres. There are probably some around though. You get alot for your money because there are no cities nearby, unless you are in the Moncks Corner area of Moultrie I guess.

I'm trying to figure out a time to bring my family out to SC & NC to check them out. Will definitely hit up you and some others on this board prior to doing so.
