• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I like the bigger bases (for safety) and the shift restriction to an extent.
The 15 second, and 20 second pitch timers are going to be interesting though. That's actually pretty quick, especially depending on when the timer actually starts. Is it from when the ball is released? When it crosses the plate? What if the ball bounces, and they have to throw out that ball and get a new one? If they started the clock when it was released, or when it crosses home plate, it may be 5 seconds at least until the pitcher even gets the ball. Then, he has to get back to the mound, get on the rubber, get the sign from the catcher, come set, and begin his delivery towards home plate in less than 10 seconds, or it's a ball? I don't know. Doesn't leave much time to shake off your catcher.

Do they have any time outs for a pitcher to step off or anything, if he's feeling uncomfortable? I like the idea of speeding it up a bit, but an automatic ball being called because a pitcher takes 1 second longer seems a little excessive.

It’s such a shame that Mike trout and shohei are wasting their careers away with the Angels

I like this ump. He gave him a loving rub on the side of the face at the end to kind os say, "Hey big guy, thanks for not cheating."

It was a tender moment.
