This forum has a lot of potential. I really enjoy some of the content here.

Personally, I never considered myself to be in conflict with any poster listed above or yourself. Facts are facts and discussion is discussion.

I watched a friend seize* and fall into a bonfire while we were drinking in high school. A buddy and myself pulled him out quickly and he wasn’t hurt thank goodness. Being the middle of winter with Carhartts definitely helped.

I say it's beyond time. The issue may be the equivalent of virtually understanding different languages. I'm just a guest here trying to stay in defense mode at one level and trading barbs on another. Nothing on the Internet is worth getting your boxers in a bunch over. So, time to move on and call this one.

I'm puzzled too, but at the same time I overreacted somewhat. I have posted on other boards and have come across my share of stalkers and people looking for a confrontation. Some people have personal vendettas or just like screwing with others. Some people just like using the boards as a source of amusement and entertainment.

You and I apparently see the boards as places for honest discourse and discussion in order to learn, teach and share differing levels of understanding. I will joke with people to a point. It would be nice if they knew instinctively what not to say to certain people.

Then again, almost anything you say is going to piss someone off. Accept the man's apology and take him at his word is the best advice I can offer at the moment. FWIW.
