ETA: We don’t eat the big ones. These are private lakes. Generally,
the management plan calls for releasing all bass over 16”.

Some bigger fish are injured so they are kept to eat. A lake that is
limed and fertilized and has a bream feeding program plus
threadfin Shad introduced needs 50 pounds per acre of bass
removed per year.

So a 70 acre lake would need 3500 pounds of bass removed each year.

So yeah. We have a lot of fish fries.
