I'm finally in the market for a new cellphone. went to Verizon today to get a look and some quotes.. I think ive narrowed my options down to the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the Galaxy Z Fold3. Any advice on these or other recommendations?

Don't understand how anyone can say an apple device is secure.

I had this same thought running thru my head.
Maybe I'm retarded here, but I remember a few cases where authorities couldn't get through encryption to solve crimes. Here is one specfically

Also Apple forces regular updates which help with security

I feel like this is something @tiderollsonu might be smart on

I knew this was coming. Do you think if Apple wanted to get in a certain phone they could? Of course they could. The whole not accessing a few locked phones during a trial is just fluff to make people feel good.

This goes both ways. I’m to lazy to find an objective answer.

When it comes to a PC would you say and Apple or Microsoft computer is more secure?

Both devicea are secure where they can access your info is through cloud backups on them. Ask JLaw on that mistake. Just enable self wipe with to many wrong passcodes just be careful not to accidentally wipe it with butt dial attempts to unlock.

If the government wants your data they either all ready have it or can get it if they really want it.

Government doesn't care about your phone we are small fish. The concern is more with someone stealing it and getting access to your accounts and email.

I’m a believer that it really doesn’t matter in the end.

I’ve bounced back and forth between Samsung and iphones through the years and iPhones have always felt more stable to me.

The one issue I have with iPhones is you can’t watch webms. How the fuck has that not been fixed

Over all I would say Mac OS is probably more secure mostly because they are not as open source as windows and windows has an 90% market share especially in a business environment.

That said Mac is being targeted a lot more now because people do not secure them as much. Most mac users don't get antivirus because they believe the myth Mac do not get virus's (laughable).

Also Mac do not patch nearly as much as windows or have near the amount of resources allocated to address vulnerabilities that Microsoft does. Microsoft release security patches ever 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Pixel has really been a fantastic phone for me. All of the benefits of droid with none of the bloatware. Also battery is ridiculous.

I’ve never owned or cared to use a mac, but I feel like in general they are assumed to be more secure. I guess these days the only thing that really matters is protecting passwords and not getting sucked into a phishing scam

Pretty much, had a client last week get his O365 login compromised, they got into his admin portal created some rules to redirect email and pretended to be a vendor. Was able to intercept a wire transfer for $113k.

9/10 times when something gets compromised it is because of the end user. Very rarely is it because of a virus or someone actually hacking in from the outside. gateways are very easy to secure. Users not so much.

I’ve had a Galaxy S8 for I don’t know how long. Other than the battery is starting to not stay charged, I’ll keep it til it dies.

Uncle has the Z fold and loves it. iPhones are for olds and teenage girls.
always thought this too.. I'm not even considering the 13PRO even tho its cheaper than the S21 Ultra bc I'm above the age of 15 and below the age of 80

This is really the only reason I'm considering the Fold

So I'm gonna give the Pixel 6 a look on the grounds of the retarded apps that come preinstalled
on Samsungs

Thanks buddy and I'm considering an iPhone when I lose my cognitive ability so more than likely my next phone after this one

I have the 6 pro and really like it. I recommend the Incipio Duo case for it. Verizon has them.
