How much of cause of societal strife in the U.S. is captured in this chart?

Economic strife if nothing else.

Aren't nearly all our problems rooted in economics, though? From education, to healthcare, to criminal justice...you are treated very differently in this country, depending on your economic status, which your upbringing plays a huge role in shaping.

Big difference between being raised with 1 vs 2 parents in the home, and everything that comes along with that, including either two incomes or one parent staying home raising the kids. We aren't supposed to talk about that though. Shouldn't we be discussing our systemic racism instead🙄😡

That’s embarrassing for everybody, but good lord how did white supremacy cause that number for blacks to be so high? If you are black you are more likely not to have a dad than you are to have one.

I’ve always seen the “born out of wedlock” stat but this shows who actually flies the coup and doesn’t participate.

I’m all for helping remedy this if the democrats ever get tired of pushing policies that are actually systemically racist.
