Take illegal shit to another country you abide by their laws. Same as flying in to other states.
How has Russia done anything wrong? She had a weed vape.
Get her a Russian lawyer. Get ambassador involved. What else is there left?

Did anyone hear that she slapped the cop and thats what started this? I've only heard one person claim this and can't find any confirmation. He said that a policeman told her she'd be prettier if she smiled and she slapped him. He then did the search and found the stuff.

Have never seen this and I've followed pretty closely. Pretty sure if she did that they would have let the dogs rape her and she'd never have been heard from again.

This stupid cunt is going to cost us releasing some important Russian prisoner we have.
We would probably have to give them 10 Russians to get her back. She is worthless as trade bait.

J6 protestors broke the law too.

I don’t think the punishment fits the crime in either case but both circumstances show the importance of knowing and following the law.
They were Americans breaking American laws on American soil. She is an American breaking Russian laws on Russian soil. These aren't quite the same.

It doesn't matter what the fuck you think. Russia can do as they see fit. Why do you think you have some authority to decide what you think is fair of other countries.

I don’t think I have the authority to decide what is fair in a foreign country.

The point I was making is play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It applies regardless of which country someone is in.

Will they do a DNA test or make her lift her skirt before or at trial?

Don't break the laws of foreign countries. If you do, man up and take your punishment. He's not the only American being held in jail in a foreign country and most are in worse conditions and being treated worse. But you don't see our government at the highest levels trying to assist them.

If Brittany can be held on procedural bullshit then so can anyone who participated in J6.

Pick your poison but don’t be a hypocrite.
Poor argument. It’s a different country altogether. Not related in any fashion.

It’s bullshit she is being held for a vape cartridge and probably highly political. But you run that risk when you go to another country. Everyone knows when you go to another country you better Mind your manners and their laws.

They make tv shows about it. Smuggled abroad or whatever.

Not a poor argument...a pretty good troll though, apparently. Catches one with every cast.

Why is it a poor argument that people should follow the rules or expect consequences?

Just because that’s especially true in communist countries doesn’t make it any less true here state side.

He's lucky it wasn't Singapore or some other country. In Singapore he might have already been executed. At the very least, he would have received several years jail time plus numerous lashes with a cane and already be serving those and received them.

I'd like to think that The United States is different and much better than a communist nation.
I agree but doesn’t that lead one to surmise that it should be even more important to follow the rules here?

The US is a nation of laws. We value law and order. We are supposed to treat people equally regardless of their social standing, money, or political positions.
