Dunno, guess I'd probably consider hash & rice both as sides...unless the rice is part of the main.

Prolly seems stupid to ask, but in my experience hash usually refers to the tacky black shit all over ya fingers from manicuring dank nugs.
While hash-browns aren't really a common side here, except for at restaurants or them pathetic hash brown rectangles Maccas sells in their shitty breaky menu.
Mashed taters are way more common here than hash taters.

Basically ya just crank up a frying pan or grill, chuck on whatever tf leftovers ya got handy, add anything else ya want, BAM! Fry up!

No matter the result, Tuimato sauce is the solution.
