The current state of the game has really changed what linebackers do.

It wasn’t all that long ago y’all had those big bruising middle backers and outside backers that were expected to play the run and then the pass.

That’s had to stress y’all system. It’s certainly fucked OSU’s system and traditional outlook quite a bit and OSU didn’t have a system with as much focus on the backers.

Felt like the exception but it also seemed like they brought pressure from the edge as opposed just trying to stack the box against the run / run blitz.
