Here’s a fun group you may not know- The Blue Dogs out of Charleston. Been around for a while but one that seems to be under the radar.

What type of country/artists do you like currently? That might help with suggestions.
 
This is an old band that won’t be releasing any new albums but they have a great, albeit limited, catalog. Soulhat was my Widespread Panic before I learned of Panic. Some great memories at the Black Cat and other clubs around town in late 80’s early 90’s Austin.

that said, Jason Isbell is favorite artist currently. Followed by country, Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser.

I’ve seen Isbell in concert a few times. He’s taken a political route on his latest records that have turned me away. I enjoy “something more than free” & his earlier stuff.

If you like outlaw country like Waylon, check out the Red Dirt Radio station on Pandora. Most of these guys are on there. It’s new country that sounds like old country.
