Mentioned this in your MB thread but if you feel like taking an adventure I highly recommend this. Was a blast when we did it a few years ago.
How did everyone enjoy the Dominican Republic? To be honest it wasn't my favorite place. Didn't feel super safe off resort property, there was thick sea weed on the beach all the time and the food was very average. Haven't been back but am considering giving it another try. Who has had a better experience and where did you go?

We are staying at the Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana. Have not ventured off of the property.
Weather has been fabulous. Service is ok. The Mexicants do a much better job.
4 hr flight from Newark. Significantly cheaper than Miami.
6 days is plenty for us.
