I imagine that your comment is directed toward me. I’m not trying to preach to or look down upon anyone, including esso. I click on esso’s threads as much as anyone. But I also genuinely worry about people on these boards sometimes, and esso is someone who’s behavior has caught my eye. I’ve been primarily a lurker on tMB for over a decade, but I had the privilege of sharing some interactions with ol aaaaaaaaaaahrby, and his passing had an impact on me. I know this is supposed to be all fun and games without consequence on the anonymous internet, but there are real humans behind the posts. And based on what esso has been willing to share about himself as a person, I’m not sure that we (myself included) are being helpful by reinforcing what he tends to contribute. My original post wasn’t trying to wag a finger at anyone. I was really just curious if anyone else felt the same way. I’ve got a hunch that some people might agree with me but don’t feel like being called a fag. Or maybe I’m just really a fag.

I think one of the guys helping run the tournament weirded out before it was done and it stalled out.

Could even look at integrating some kinda inter-forum aspects.

Prolly wouldn't be too difficult to set-up/hijack/customize/adapt the XA - fantasy sports betting plug & the real world betting one/possibly also with the casino games ones too-> along with the DBTech shop/creds/etc plugs -> and a few others I'm too blazed to recall rn.

I'd need to look into them again, but as far as I know, once these are all set up in the back end then members with access permissions enabled—can go hard creating, organizing & managing a whole range of different betting, gambling & various other related stuff. Optionally either as in-forum fantasy tournaments with fake forum credz or real money or they can be created specifically for actual real-world events.

The fantasy & real world sports betting ones are by a highly reputable preeminent XF developer, guy named Bob.
Pretty fuckin' good cunt imo.
Already rockin' half a dozen or so plugs of his. Never had any issues.

fakku.net used to have a NSFW forum but it was taken down because some of their posters posted loli. Not real stuff - just drawings - but it was enough to anger the feds or their ISP or something.

99% of the stuff was not loli. But that got it taken down. You have to be careful if you're going to host adult content.

Alrighty then! I've just been scoping out some of the sports betting plugs, Pick 'em, Sports Book, Competitions, Rating Comps, etc....and I think some of them might work, though I'll need to have a chat with Bob about whether we'd be able to use the Pick 'em & Sports Book plugs for this sorta purpose as well.

They're about $50us ea & the Competition one is £50, the rest are between $10us to completely free, but I've already got most of the cheap/free ones anyways.

Before I go splashin' out on the good ones, I'll first need to establish whether we'd even have sufficient participation to justify the expenditure.

Ya know, we could always consider something like prizes & shit aye.

Maybe like, 1st place wins $50, 2nd wins a months worth of TFSF access without ads, or 1 months ODT patrons membership, 3rd gets a congratulatory slap on the arse...fuck I dunno.

I'm thinking we could potentially use this as a way to promote all three forums, I'd also suggest considering taking a leading organization role too @shiv

And shit aye, if it proved reasonably successful, ya know I don't mind covering the prizes costs either—though obviously that'd all depend on the cost/benefit.
