Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I’m against age restrictions. If a citizen meets the qualifications laid out in The Constitution then let them run and the people’s votes will sort it out.

Mark me down in the camp that says we can do better than an 80 something year old man as president (or senator or whatever). I don’t want an 80 year old pilot flying me around or bus driving driving me around. I don’t want an 80 year old surgeon operating on me. You never know how fast somebody that age can go downhill. Anyone saying he deserves a 2nd term because of whatever reason, the reason he didn't get a 2nd term wasn't just because of the election theft, he could've overcome that if he'd been prepared. He lost because he got in office as an outsider, then immediately surrounded himself with the swamp. He can't legitimately complain about Chris Wray and Bill Barr and so forth, he appointed them.
