I actually looked into this back in the summer. It’s fairly confusing when you really get into it.

I think the real question should be, do they work the same? Meaning, is the pull exactly the same between two magnets in space, as it is on earth? Or more since there's no gravity or atmosphere? Or less somehow?
Why would they? Idk.
some magnets would work better, due to the cold
A better question is, what could possibly keep them from working? Long as they'll work within the atmosphere, there is no reason that they wouldn't work outside of the atmosphere.
Except it's the opposite atmosphere.
Atmosphere plays no role in the operation of magnets though.
Go to harbor freight and get'cha a vacuum pump and chamber and test it for yourself.
