9 people dead. Truck hit a van head on. Van was a new Mexico university golf team and coach. Truck driver and adult passenger dead.

Here's the kicker. The driver was 13. Driving on a highway. In the dark. With a spare tire on the front driver's side that blew out pulling the truck into the other lane.

Edit: maybe not, both vehicles were engulfed in flames but 2 people in the van survived in critical condition.

Yeah, they can definitely figure out BAC post-mortem...either through blood or ocular fluid.

Not much to go on about, but just like your blood, you can test the fluid in your eyeballs & get an accurate number for blood alcohol. They use it on dead people sometimes, I assume when they have been gone too long to get a good specimen of blood.
