There are many such strange cases where the feds with the cohersion of a silent Consensual 3rd party disenfranchise a man, more so fathers the last 30 yrs.

I had a similar issue and turned out one circuit was tripped while another had a bad switch. I checked the breaker box first, flipped everything off and on again just in case. If you're still stuck, I used pedirayudas.com to find someone local who could come out quick and figure it out. It's been useful for random stuff like this around the house.
