Couple different Lights in my house went out

I wasn't there. My Mom and Dad were alone. I think my mom may have done something.

No breakers are tripped. I tested all breakers. All continuous @120v when open. All zero.
2 different sets of lights(different switches and circuts I believe.) On another circut the TV and internet quit.

I'm perplexed. Every circuit checks out.

Even if it was on the same circuit the breakers ain't braking.
Any help can earn up to a large boiled peanuts and gallon of duke's mayo

Gcfi? Yeah they are prior..

I'm thinking somehow a common neutral is cattywompass. The voltage gets wha ked so utensils don't wok but voltage looks right thru the breaker. I'm pretty sure this is right but I'm not smart enough to know I'm right.

Electrical Bill please help
 
Line trace it. If you can figure out where its coming in from then just work your way down. You can use a sniffer if you don't feel comfortable with the probes. Sounds like a broken wire or connection... with nothing being tripped.

You don't need to get to bare wire with these.

I have 120v continuous. I'm pretty sure I have a bad neutral. It isn't a short. Bad voltage

I was dumb enough to be right but not smart enough to find it.
Called Mr Sparky. Told dude what happened. What I thought.
He agreed. We pulled out maybe 20 sockets and switch plates....nothing.
After really exhausting every you'd call normal, he looked up at the fire protection line in front hall.
585.00 for 3hrs on a sat night from 722-10pm.

Swapped out the breaker and the outlet. 75 bucks and working like a charm.
 
Solar storm bro. I work IT for a Fortune 100 that relies HEAVILY on our shit working. Like if shit hits the fan we're instantly in the news. We had two major routers and firewalls fail over the past few days. When I said solar flares my boss rolled his eyes. 2nd one happened and my boss was like maybe you're on to something LOL. My bro at Microsoft Azure was like DUDE, I think you're totally right, all kinds of weird shit happening.
 
We have had severe winds on the hillside here in Anchorage again over the past two days. We usually get what are called Chinook winds in the spring and maybe once in the winter. We have had in excess of 100 mph gusts over 8 times in the past year. As a matter of fact roofers started yesterday repairing damage from past storm. They were not expecting these and our wind forecast was for 4-5 mph today. Caught the roofers off guard as well as they have debris scattered all over my yard. Something is up for sure.

I agree w solar flares but not on my particular issue unless flare split wires w spliced neutral return.

when I work it's $60-$80 a check.

How does that work? Where I live, you gotta be at least 10yo to be charged in juvenile court. What State you talkin'?
