Alabama has arguably the best win, but the worst loss. Common opponent miami dominated fsu.

Texas good loss is to ohio state and beat down by Georgia and Florida. Common opponent Miami dominated Florida.

Texas gets in over vandy b/c of the h2h.

Miami should be in over Notre dame b/c of the h2h.

Ole miss should get the fsu treatment b/c they lost their hc and oc.

My opinion is that if Bama loses the SEC championship and gets left out it’s gonna implode. Conferences are going to consider removing championship games and if not teams are going to find ways to sit out. Lot of money to be made on those conference championship games and Dr. Pepper is not going to let that happen

I would grab a large bucket of movie theater popcorn with extra butter to enjoy while watching that scenario play out. I really have nothing against Alabama, but if they were left out after losing I’d be able to hear the crying from Tuscaloosa all the way here in central Florida.

EDIT: Just a question for those here telling us how unfair it would be if your team were left out- what were your thoughts when FSU was left out? An undefeated P4 conference champion had NEVER been excluded from the CFP before that.

I feel it’s kinda similar, but Alabama is fighting for a 12th spot which is less valuable than the 4th spot in a 4 team playoff, so the sting would wear off more quickly

Bama was the first team out last year too. Inverse of this year. SMU lost the ACC championship in a game that was “close enough” that earned them the spot and pushed out Bama
