Kirby is the best leader of men in any field - medicine, politics, military, finance, etc.
In any field.
Why did he go down with 14 min left?
Only thing I could think was that the coaches instructed him to go down on that play to prevent fumbling. It looks like he had room to run though.
Perhaps it because Kirby wanted to demoralize their defense by forcing them back on the field.
An onside kick cannot be advanced beyond the point of recovery. Look at the tape. Even though he did run a few steps the ball was moved back to the point of recovery. Even the announcers did not know that.
When was that implemented?
Kirby knew that is the important thing. However, there is not much that Kirby does not know.
