I wonder what caused the rise and fall in temps hundreds of thousands of years ago when there were no cars, no factories, and only a few people, if any, living in huts or caves dodging predators almost as foreboding as today's Socialibdems.

Same for today. Underwater volcanoes are responsible for the ice sheets melting and water temps rising.

Also, Mount St Helens eruption emitted more CFCs than all the humans in history.
