I’m making a couple tweaks to how we fund the site and also changing some of the infrastructure a little to provide a mechanism to give paying members more benefits and controls.
-The Main Forum and how the Main Forum is run will not change and there will not be any subscription required to post on the Main Forum
-There is going to be one membership subscription tier for $15/month that must be signed up to via Patreon. The current mix of monthly Donation goals and the patron system is going away
-This new membership will give the user access to post on the Members Only Forum. This forum will be viewable by everyone on the site, but only members can post
-The Members Only Forum will be moderated by members on that forum that are elected at regular intervals. I’m going to give them more latitude to moderate trolling on the Members Only forum.
-Additionally, only paying members will be able to view the site ad-free going forward. Non-paying users will start getting ads
