Can you elaborate? Essau was Jacob’s brother but why was he an enemy of Israel? Also Ishmael is considered the father of Islam correct? How did that transpire? And what is his relationship to Essau again? I just took an Old Testament class so I should know this, but it’s all boggled up in my mind brain, I can’t remember.

Jacob have I loved Essau have I hated. Essau gave up his inheritance to Jacob for some stew (I think it was stew or soup). Essau married the daughter is Ishmael. God said that Essau’s descendants would have an eternal hatred for Israel. I’d pull some links but don’t have the time at the moment.
