Boy Scouts settle

Jesus Christ! Is there any institution that deals with kids that is not secretly abusing them?! That number absolutely shocks me, especially as an Eagle Scout and coming from a wonderful troop with great men as leaders. Just sickening.
Only rival is the Catholic Church and they are way ahead of the Boy Scouts.
I know it is just a tiny anecdotal experience, but me and most of my friends were in the Boy Scouts in the early-mid 90s, in a few different troops. All had great experiences.
The head scout master in my troop was a former Navy SEAL and tought us SO much. Tons of awesome camping trips in the NC mountains...we actually had 3 scout masters, none of which had sons, so all were just volunteering through the church to help mentor the young men through the Boy Scouts. 3 of the greatest men in my life growing up, again just shocking to me how many sick fucks were in their positions all over the country, doing unspeakable things.
