Could we get a little more detail? Do you have to shell them first?

First you gotta buy Green peanuts (unroasted). Usually can get them from the grocery store or roadside farm stand during the summer.

Then you boil a large pot of water, I have a big steamer that I use. Boil the water and add salt and whatever seasoning you want to add. Then add some more salt. Dump your peanuts in, shell and everything.

We are cooking for a long time (some will cook for a full day) at a simmer or low boil. They will be soft and easy to crack with your teeth when they are finished. Crack it with your teeth and then pull the shell apart and get the peanut out with ease. As you crack it with your teeth, the water it was cooking in comes out and its delicious. haha

Best served right away, but i have known people to ziploc and freeze them. Just microwave with some water or put them back in boiling water for a minute before you serve.

If you have a large crock pot, add water and a cup of salt. Add nuts. Turn the high until it boils, then to low and simmer em.

every hour or so, grab a couple and try to see if they’re soft yet and also to check saltiness. You can add salt as you go but overstated nuts are inedible.

If the salt is fine, then pot off after they’re soft and let them sit in the salt water for an hour or so.
Then dump in a bucket and commence to eating them
