If I’m remembering correctly, the crowd got so loud on that play that it measured on the Richter Scale at the University of Washington campus just up the road.

EDIT: I should have probably watched the video before posting. I ASSUMED it was this run, which DID measure on the Richter Scale.

Barry just wasn't a winner. He's probably the most gifted running back, but we don't judge athletes by their talent. We judge them on whether they're winners or not. Tom Brady wouldn't be in the Top 10 QBs if you go off talent, yet he's the GOAT because he's a winner.

I don't think Barry even cared about football. He just did it because he was amazing at it. Which is why he pussed out the first chance he got.

If you're building a team based off of talent, Barry is the #1 back. If you're building a team to win a Super Bowl, Barry shouldn't even be on the practice squad. I do enjoy his meaningless runs though, they are quite entertaining.

Sanders was unique and just a special RB. I've never seen a guy like him since I have been watching. I have just always appreciated Okoye's style too. Barry Word was similar

The generation had some great backs. Thurman Thomas, Emmit, Barry Sanders, ect....was a good time for RB's in the NFL.

Thurman was such a great all around back. A true dual threat to run or catch a pass. IMO he is really underrated.

Rodney Peete is the only one I can name off te top of my head. He was okay for a bit bur far from a winning QB. Andre Ware got in there for a season or two if I remember right.

I was born in Maryland and a big Colt fan. I was living at Fort Carson where my dad was stationed and was at the base bowling alley watching the game along with everybody else there. It is my favorite NFL memory.

Not a favorite play but an all time "needle" from one player to another.

My father and Tom Landry grew up a couple of houses apart in Mission, Texas. They were friends. My Dad told me a story he was told about Landry's playing days as a DB for the Giants. In those days, the goal posts were on the goal line and not at the rear of the end zone. A runner for the team the Giants were playing ran head first into one of the goal posts and knock himself out. When he regained consciousness Landry was standing over him and said, "If you come back this way again, I'll hit you harder!"
