• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

A dive from the deep macob of mysterious strange & weird...

There's a mystery that plagues mankind, and that's the human canniness to forget, forego & forfeit the ability to remember.

I wanted to begin with a video abt the city grids in the middle of nowhere, but alas the powers thay be have beat me to it, and it's all been scrubbed from the internet.
The iceberg meme, catches my eye for that thought.
Bc on the surface, unbeknownst to a whole lot of folks is the fact that, there is so much we are not told compared to what we do and don't know, let alone what we have misplaced.
A mishap in human consciousness or an intended flaw?
We humans have an insatiable lust for history and yet can't even actually what's happened over the last decade to become what it is that we have become.
And what have we become, if not flat put npc's, bc what we have become isn't anything what we were preceived to actually be.
From organic computers to hollow original ai shells, we humans haven't ever really seemed to figure it put.
Which is why I wanted to begin this with the off grid city sites on Google earth.
I remember as a child growing up in Buffalo and the Bronx and hearing very different stories as to the origins of each regions, as well as discovering old ruins, forbidden entrances and closed off alleyways and structures.
Both in Buffalo and the Bronx, there were mysterious buildings no one was allowed in or near in most cases.
In Buffalo a lot of buildings and cemeteries were strictly off limits. In the Bronx there were bricked off subway entrances and armed patroles for abandoned buildings.
I am most interested in the off grid city grids that have been found on Google earth.
Does anyone know of such things?
Is there even a way to find the intellectual side of TFSF M
