According to numerous sites, by April 15th, a group from Soyjak.party managed to exploit 4chan's outdated PHP version, successfully penetrated the entire backend and dumped it's database, exposing everything from source codes, files, user data, mod credentials, emails, IPs, geo locations, operators, etc.

Also revealing 4chan was never really anonymous beyond the public front end, while behind the scenes ran aggressive browser fingerprinting scripts, tracking fonts, resolution, mouse movement, input timing, plugin sigs, etc, allowing 4chan operators to re-identify returning users across VPNs & devices, enabling aggregation & analysis of user's data for profiling purposes.
