Dude I can't imagine how bad the mountain roads are but the side roads around any marsh area inowcountry are shit and I95,26,20 are all complete shit. It isn't like the giant holes in a big city it is like just a little above dirt rds in quality.
Calling it a Yankee tax is simply politician pandering. You aren't exempt if you move from Georgia or Tennessee

In Mt pleasant I gave a couple negroes the idea to trip and fall in bad spots on sidewalks. Both of them and I think 6 family members did it at different places around Mt p about 8 years ago. Now every single stretch of side walk in town is straight and perfect. The each got a settlement bw 30-120k. They tried to give me cash but I don't need their cash. I had asked the city to fix it for a decade. I know how to hardball too

I have 47 years on this earth and agree taxes certain states force on its citizens. I live in one of those certain states in Connecticut. We get taxed more than most other states and our roads are bad or deteriorating quickly. I will say that out democrat governor, of all people, spearheaded a cut in the state individual income tax. He worked with republicans (who do not hold a majority in either house) to get this done and they are currently working to try and eliminate the car tax. That will get a lot of static from the towns themselves because they use it as a large piece of revenue for "projects" It will be either cut or eliminated very soon though.

As for the tax in SC on people like us from up north, its seems like politicians trying to drum up some more revenue to me. I am sure people from all other states would be facing similar taxes to move there as someone from New England. As someone who is going to be retiring in SC, I am against this tax but it won't deter me from living in the fine state of SC.

They were a Lil rough they had to alleviate the congestion and issues from charleston to MB. I don't know this but it has to be 17-20billuon in tourist revenue if not double that. But I'll say them thar hills deserve attention. GVILLE SPARTY foothills need attention. Columbia is what it is. The capital and the middle. Columbia is great bc of of proximity and that's why they put cola as the capitol. Tell me the roads and hwys you want done. I'll tell McMaster and he'll do it

There’s plenty of other places for people to move if a state puts restrictions on residents moving in, especially moving from states like ny or cal just like we should limit who comes to the USA out of places like china and anywhere who wants to destroy us.
If there was some type of natural disaster or war that caused people to relocate then that’s a different story.
