Why have Kirby's teams never had a Heisman?

Saban has nurtured 3 Heisman trophy winners, and Milroe is a lock next year

Is it due to Kirby's inability to develop offensive players? If Brock Bowers wasn't so soft he might could have been in the conversation this year, but otherwise Kirby teams seem to lack in the ability to help elite talent reach their full potential

They are one of the high floor low ceiling programs.

Kids come and develop some over the course of their careers there but you don’t see them turning out top end talent.

When you consider that a Saban player didn't win one until his 15th or so year as a head corch and Kirby's only been a head corch about 10 years, it makes sense.
