• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

What's the GOAT animated movie?

I enjoyed Wreck It Ralph. Probably not close to the best but ebtertaining IMO.

I am going to go with The Lego Movie. I though that was really good and I dated one of the script coordinators/writers for the movie. So there's that.

It's actually Heavy Metal, but that's the younger critic in me

1. Monsters Inc. - first time me and the wife had a "moment alone" with a newborn awake.

2. Penguins of Madagascar - laughed way harder than I should have. Wasn't even any kids in the room first time I saw it.

Secret Life of Pets is pretty good too....maybe not quite on par with some already mentioned especially the Pixar ones. Second one, not so much.
Shrek is another seriously underrated movie....been watching it with the granddaughter lately and forgot how funny and well written it was.
