I picked "Bad Choice," simply because RealID does not seem to provide any sort of tangible benefit. Like how about making our citizenship/residency status part of the RealID. It would be nice if I could just show my RealID drivers' license when I fill out a W-9 instead of digging up my social security card. God forbid the government make something fucking useful though.

Voting is handed by states where as air travel is federally regulated.

It's an excellent idea. An ID should be trustworthy. I got a RealID in Oregon last week. I had to bring photo ID, an original document with my SSN on it, and multiple pieces of mail with my address on it. It's essentially the same requirements as a passport.

Should we move to require federal voter ID, a RealID would be an excellent way to eliminate voter fraud.

As someone who travels often, I love the idea. It should speed things up from those who can’t remember to turn the brightness in their phone up to scan their boarding pass.

I made an appointment online and was in and out in 7 minutes. I wouldn’t consider that jumping through hoops, but to each their own.

I think it definitely depends on the State/City. It took me several hours to get mine. But like some other people said it's very similar to the process of getting a passport

I think its's a great idea, but each state would have to accept it as voter requirements. I know certain states would never want such a thing

I will say, I was on hold with the DMV (you had to make an appointment via phone only) for 40ish minutes. It’s archaic that you can’t make an appointment online in this state.

To be fair most Government websites suck. I'm not sure what the best way to handle it is, but the Government has always been behind commercial in implementing new technology

My only concern is that its a Trojan Horse for a sweeping federally controlled nationally database that would make 1984 look like a Disney movie.

The Corona virus hit the DMV especially hard in Oklahoma. Have to make an appointment which sometimes 2 months out, then they will have an outbreak or a snow storm and have to shut down for a couple days.

I had a hell of a time getting my 16 yr old a permit.
