Ladies..... this is one of the best methods to prepare a PRIME RIB ROAST.

If you do make a standing Rib Roast for the holidays, I'd encourage you to read this recipe several times before attempting it.

You'll definitely pick up new details each time

Now, @Rebarcock is best served using audio books because that fvcker can't read!!!

Merry Christmas

Season how you want
Cook like this. Comes out magnificent
Calculate cooking time: Multiply the weight of the prime rib roast in pounds by 5 minutes. For example, a 6-pound roast would require 30 minutes of cooking at 500°F (260°C).
Initial high-temperature cooking: Cook the prime rib roast at 500°F (260°C) for the calculated time (e.g., 30 minutes for a 6-pound roast).
Turn off the oven and wait: After the initial high-temperature cooking, turn off the oven and leave the door closed for 2 hours. This step allows the meat to continue cooking without active heat, resulting in a perfectly cooked prime rib.
No resting required: Unlike traditional roasting methods, the closed oven method does not require resting the prime rib after cooking. You can slice and serve it immediately.

@Rebarcock. is right. This is about foolproof. I recommend using a wired or wireless meat probe to make sure you pull it at the right time. Also the links for the horsey and Au Jus in the link are spot on too. On my iPad but I will post pics of one I did a few weeks ago
