Played some football with the students this morning at recess. Being an hour from KC, Red Friday's are a big deal. Most of these kids don't have many opportunities (lots of rural poverty) or good male role models, so it's awesome to get out there and have fun with them. I'm glad I'm in a district where we can still do two hand touch football and have everyone piling on trying to get fumbles. I even got told by a student I was like Mahomes after throwing him a twenty yard pass (amazingly, he caught it). Broke some second grade ankles in those dress shoes!
