He was awesome when he didn’t want to send a high level delegate to Taiwan to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of US pledging the defense of Taiwan out of concern for pissing off Xi. He was even cooler when he said the US couldn’t do jackshit over protecting Taiwan from China.

He was even more cooler when he let the Chinese roll over Hong Kong economic freedom.
