• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Just to make sure we can be out before 9/11, to make sure the Taliban aren’t putting us in an evacuation of Saigon situation? This admin is a complete shit show. Guess it didn’t occur to them until yesterday that the Taliban wasn’t going to be a hospitable people if we overstayed our check out time.

How quickly can we build the appropriate ordinance while increasing our stockpiles to take on China?
 
Great question. We lack the ordinance and “trucks” to take on China. DOD cut the weapons buy of LGBs and SDBs this year. Will be interesting to see if the US is interested in actually dropping ordinance in AFGH. When ISIS first took over Mosul the country coordination took weeks to allow th US to do anything.

I have no idea what you arebeveb talking about. I have machines that can similar and bend 10 orb14 bar. Your pics don't show on my cell so I have no idea. If you are aleaking of twin towers that was beam failure not rebar. If you are talking Surfside collapse it was failure to maintain rebar integrity by owners. Can't have chlorine or salter on naked rebar for decades wo fatugue.
 
Pretty crazy what they were able to accomplish in 4 months while being out manned and out gunned by a superior Afghan force. But Biden focused on crt and trans issues instead.
