Yussir. Looks like he just feasted on a rat/weasel/large bird.
The babysitter had just shown up, the kids had a friend over, and I had guests arriving at the house in 5 minutes. Otherwise he would have been dead. As it was, I let him slither back under the house.
Noticed any unusual things missing from the fridge?
My 1st grade teacher had 2 pet black rat snakes. She used to feed them live mice during class, coolest shit ever for a 6 year old...doubt that would fly today, but nobody cared in the 80s.

Picked up a load of firewood at a friend's ranch last Thanksgiving. Picked up the last piece of wood and there was a copperhead underneath it. It was cold out and the snake was lethargic until the sun hit it. Lasted a few minutes until a 20 ga shell blew it to smithereens.
I was watchin this and my cat snuck up on me and touched my leg. Made me jump like a mofo!
Snaked seemed pretty calm. Until it looked and saw a woman behind the wheel.

Ironically, I have a milk snake in my office at school. Ordered it from Florida. It matches our school colors. The kids love it.
