Snagging Seward sockeyes

Heading out early tomorrow for the pre-spawn run of ocean sockeye in Seward. Heard it is on right now! That means weighted treble hooks and snagging reds. Humpbacks are in so we should see some epic breaches. I’ll post some picks and videos of the maiden showing how it’s done. 75 and clear with 20 hours of daylight.
No sign of the big brown since he went colonel sanders on the neighbors chickens but the dogs have been edgy. SKOL!

Come on up @catfishpunter . It’s fun to start the season off snagging these fish. Next we hit the Russian Riverr and a little more finesse. Got a Kasilof River float trip for Kong’s in July. Should be slammin’. Happy Sunday !
