I sleep face down so we did every other intervention besides the actual CPAP

-removing tonsils
-sinus surgery
-new mattress
-daily sinus drains
-mouthpieces
-losing weight, although it was always a problem even when super skinny

The mouthpieces I would make a concerted effort to sleep with it in and no matter what I would wake up with it pulled out of my mouth, sitting on the nightstand. Also they’re very bad for your teeth long term your teeth will begin to have a gap and not close correctly

Prayers sent partner

Also, I could not even think about wearing a CPAP mask without these:

They are liners to prevent the rubber part of the mask from rubbing your face raw during the night. They have the texture of a t shirt. They are life savers.

If I did not wear one every night between my face and the mask, I would wake up with at red irritation all over the places where the mask touched my face.

I use the nasal pillow mask. As a side sleeper, it works great. I am logging good sleep for 7-8 hours a night. Changed my life. The new machines are pretty solid and I haven't had many problems since day one. I consider myself lucky.

This is me. I always recommend the nasal pillows. And mine come with cloth strips to prevent it from rubbing your face raw.

BTW, you can get all your cpap supplies from Amazon now.

My Doc likes to require a visit to get resupplies which I have to get off work for, drive across town, wait in office, pay a copay, etc., etc.

Fuck that guy. I just order from Amazon. It is not rocket surgery.

Doc said I had sleep apnea after a sleep study but didn’t warrant a cpap.
I paid my dentist 200 to take molds and get a mouth piece. You get what you paid for... the damn thing jacked my jaws up.
I went to a specialized dentist and paid 2k for another mouth piece. This one did the trick... well, sort of. I still have terrible sleep, but a lot better compared to no device.
I also got this to monitor my sleep. Too bad they don’t have a reliable feedback to wake me when snoring.

Same...I was diagnosed with severe apnea while in the military...I use nasal pillows and and you can’t even hear the machine...sleep like a baby now, life changing for me. And I get my sects on prior to strapping on the cpap.

Mine started in the Army. It started while we were in Balad. No idea why. I was in great shape.

Does anyone else roll over in the night and pull the CPAP machine off the counter and it makes a terrible noise?

Is there any hacks to prevent this?

We should make of recording of CPAP breathers at night and mix with a recording of Gay Sex grunting.

We could then do the listen and see how many you can get correct. This could deliver for sure.........
