What do you guys know about an app called Signal?
Patriot friend recommended it to me for comms for when cell signal goes down...

I just added it and tested it. Some family members and a few friends on currently. It is not much different than standard text messaging. Except they have to be in your contacts

Tons of people migrated to it due to Facebook prying into WhatsApp now. Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing WhatsApp. Elon Musk is one of those people.

It has a desktop version that links with your phone for people like me who hate mobile devices like the 11th plague.
