If you upload a picture if a keurig machine I get to laugh at you. I have no more room at my coffee bar. I'm going to have to start removing tings to add things 😭

This caused an argument between my wife and I about sacrificing functionality for style, but it makes her happy so:

Sooooo nice!!! I'm all about style (of course I have no decorations at my coffee bar lol) so I definitely agree with her!! Upgrading size is so easy and that's an easy way to get more function!

My morning is 2 Keurig 6 and 8 oz breakfast blend k cups with 2 oz frothed milk on the K Cafe machine. 5 minutes of prep... and about 70 cents. I let it sit for about 30 minutes in a Yeti on the way to work and then it is perfect.

But if you want to make me something with that fancy set up, I won't complain. I always raid my sister's fancy coffee bar when I'm over there.

I have a far superior setup than most people, I will agree to that, but my mom's setup is even nicer than mine; easily worth $4,000, maybe more. Every time I go to her house I drink as much coffee as I can.

Not my setup, yes I have a Keurig. But this just came in today. So excite!View attachment 19559
I definitely understand why 90% of the population uses a keurig, it is EXTREMELY convenient. Wake and and hot coffee is ready in minutes. I was never a fan of the cost of that convenience though . The pods are just too much $$$ compared to a tub of coffee.

I later decided the taste of the coffee produced was lesser than that of a midrange tub of preground coffee, so I actually migrated from a keurig to an old school pot. That saved me money and added flavor to my morning cup at the expense of time. It took 10 minutes to make coffee instead of 60 seconds. When I graduated college I discovered high quality whole bean small batch coffee. It requires the extra expense of a grinder, but the flavor is FAAAAAR superior to any other kind of coffee, and the cost per cup is actually similar to k-cups. I used a Ninja Drip machine which could do single cups (but used filters), so a cup only took about 4 minutes to make.

I later upgraded the Ninja to a french press which added about 10 minutes to my brewing time, but made my flavor experience even better. Now I use the espresso machine to make a small batch double shot Americano every morning. It is much faster than the french press, but it requires a multihundred dollar machine and it takes more effort than any aforementioned brewing method. When I really want to make a good cup of coffee, I make a single shot and add it to a full cup brewed in my french press.

I just need the convenience now... I could see myself going all out later down the road. I also have the reusable k cup which I run Black Rifle coffee through. I need to pick up a grinder to have around.

I pour a cup of black coffee from whatever source is available, let it cool down, and chug it. Stop being a pansy.

This is what I needed during the Texas Ice/Snow storm with no electricity but did have gas and water. Looking for one at garage sales.

Have found 3 more oil lamps for a $1 each since I learned candles didn't cut it for 3 days of no electricity.

I do not have any off the grid kitchen utilities. I probably need to invest in a small gas stove, kettle, etc....

Weekdays for us is regular coffee machine with Dunkin Donuts coffee. Weekends, or days off like today I go with a burr grinder and organic whole beans, then move to a French press. best coffee. I wish I had the time to do French Press every day, but that may ruin it for me.

the one I use was only $400 but there aren’t a bunch of gadgets and gizmos. Gets the job done though.

I would probably be able to build a fission bomb before I could build a coffee roaster

I can understand the time constraint, but I will tell you that it will not get old. It WILL make you a coffee snob though...I cannot drink cheap coffee anymore. My engine doesnt turn with caffeine, so if there isn't at least passable coffee, Ill just skip coffee all together....I'd honestly waking up 10 mins earlier to make it in the french press because it's just so much better

Coffee is one of those things that really just doesnt get old and I do not understand why. I own a nice sports car. It's fast, looks good, gets lots of attention....I love the car. It's my favorite car. But it gets to be "just another car" Coffee isnt like that. It might be because a coffee enthusiast generally drinks different beans, different roasts, etc..

Yeah I know I can buy one cheaper than 1000, but because I'm an engineer I want the best widgets and gizmos. It's a bad habit. But I can build the top of the line for probably 250 and some sweat equity!!

During the week I drink everyday Folger's in my trusty Mr. Coffee. When I want something different, I drink Pinon Coffee from New Mexico. It's not available in Texas so I have a friend in Santa Fe send me a bag when I'm running low.

There used to be a coffee shop in Dallas which sold coffee beans covered in cocoa. It was wonderful but they went out of business.
