Short Term Health Insurance - Help Needed!

Hey All - the wife and I are both in between jobs, and will need some short term insurance until the new policies kick in. It seems like kind of a difficult space to navigate - I was on the phone with a salesman yesterday who pushing me hard to sign up, but trying not to share literature on the plan itself, which was fairly cheap. I finally got him to send me a brochure and found out why it was so cheap - the coverage is minimal, so minimal they say it's meant to supplement health insurance rather than act as health insurance.

All this to say - can anyone give me an idea as to where to look? We can do a cobra plan, but it's quite expensive and we moved six hours away from where our old HMO was centered so we would have to travel to see doctors, etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
