It's still a developing story here. Not much info has been given out yet due to fears of people trying to flee from the affected area, and end up spreading the virus unintentionally.
The ministry has reported six deaths so but has not confirmed the number of patients.

Basically anyone who has visited Uganda and wants to come to the states has to come through designated cities on the US east coast and get checked out.

Yeah,the spread has been greatly contained among civilians, though the health workers are now the highest potential for transmitting The disease. The ministry responsible directed that all health workers who come in contact with ebola patients must not leave isolation centres. Last week, a doctor of Tanzanian decent died of the disease,he was working at one of the isolation centres. And yesterday,the health ministry announced that five other health workers have fully recovered from the disease and will be allowed to leave the isolation centres

The closest thing we have on the North American Continent is the drug war. Nasty ordeal for those involved or in the way or transportation routes. Whole villages have "gone missing" in northern Mexico so they don't have to deal with local law enforcement.

South America usually has a civil war of some kind going on.
