It's not trolls or bots. You can watch Tolkien fan channels and almost all of them are pissed and all of them have a few hundre to several thousand viewers. I saw one guy estimate that around 95 million people are alive that read at least 5 Tolkien books. There is a Frodo society in Borneo. Amazon didn't realize the difference between Star Wars fans and Tolkien fans.

LotR on Prime wasn't anywhere near as bad as WoT.

Haven't seen ROP yet, but sadly I agree about WoT. I had high hopes and they were met with... meh. Still hoping season 2 is an improvement.

It's only episode 2. I follow a guy that knows the whole season. He knows who Sauron is, what happens on Valinor and other stuff. It gets worse.... WAYYYY worse. For one thing, Galadriel should be married to Celeborn and even have a daughter, who will eventually marry Elrond.... Celeborn is missing and presumed dead. That isn't even close to being the worst plot twist in this show. Some of it is just absolute cringe. It's like a cw show made for teen girls.

I quit after ep3 but I've heard it still sucks. I understand that the last episode is being reffered to as "Helm's Cheap".
