• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Now I know why I never hear about

The article is typical of beuqacratic decision making. Homeless is a pandemic in and of itself. I happen to know two homeless people and they both said they were living under the overpasses, etc., because they wanted to.

One of them said he was a "professional."They were living a life they chose. I was taken aback. One went on to say I have no responsibilities or worries. Interesting. Not to say they all feel that way for sure.

I just get tired of those disgusting people staring at me and asking for change on every street corner in OKC.

Pisses me off to the point I have damn near got out of the truck. It's a nice June morning and I cant roll my window down without being harassed? Fuck them.

On another note. When the WuFlu just started taking off I told someone, "that's terrible what is about to happen to homeless communities a ross the country. They ain't social distancing or washing their hands, or in good health to begin with." .....Sure dont see the bodies piling up.
