The Hanks/Spielberg produced miniseries has started filming. It's based on the identically-titled book by Donald Miller, which I've read twice and is a must-read if you enjoy WWII/US History books. I've been waiting for this series since I first heard about it, maybe 6-7 years ago.
One of the directors (and Co-Producer) is Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also directed all of season 1 of True Detective, which includes the Alexandra Daddario scene. His attachment alone would be reason to celebrate, but the Hanks/Spielberg team hasn't disappointed, yet.
Here's a gif of some of Fukunaga's best directing work:
(I know it's from season 2, but whatevs)
