Issue with posting and replying

It’s intermittent which kinda makes it a pain in the ass. But sometime when you try and reply or make a post, the site tries and loads and nothing goes through. And then sometimes it will go to the bot making a connection page (like the site is down), but if you refresh, it comes back up and usually you can make a post after that. Sorry I know that description sucks.

I know @TopHook was experiencing it specifically and @Pwtechr had problems this morning.

You hit post reply and the little loading bar keeps streaming across the top, then it will never post. And sometimes you can do that multiple times and it just won’t post. I’ve found that refreshing seems to break out of the cycle, but sometimes the refresh will send you to an unable to connect.

My guess is some kind of cache needs cleaned up, or there’s a database connection problem happening from the specific “post” api call

When does this happen? Do you notice it happening when coming to the forum, when loading a thread, or when looking through a thread? Or is it just random?

When I click "post reply"... nothing. No matter how many times I click it. I turn off the wifi to use data and then reverse a few times. Sometimes that works. Most often it doesn't so I just close the page for a few minutes and then open back up and redo my post. That usually works. But it's a complete PITA to do that... especially when about 1/3 of the time there's no problem posting. Just random.

Case in point... no problem with this reply or my other recent posts. But my posts earlier today... incredibly frustrating. Maybe it's fixed now?

Information like this helps a lot. We have a few theories of what the issue could be and are working to hone in on the issue. I know it's frustrating to deal with, but I promise we are working to resolve the issue.

I think this is a problem specific to your phone. Kill the phone browser completely and try again

Weird one here but it wouldn't let me post while on Wi-Fi. I had to disconnect and post just from my cell data.

We get that issue sometimes when the items in an image are too small. If there aren't enough pixels it doesn't read the item :/

Happens in the draft thread a few times a day. Usually in the late morning/early afternoon.

I'm noticing the issues are mid afternoon/ early evening.

No issues posting in the morning or late night.
