Apparently USC paid Michigan for Tennessee's signals, and USC wore wrist bands for the first time in that game. Apparently there's a paper trail.

My guy who works in the SEC office said there's a legit investigation and people are pissed because this cost the SEC having two teams in the playoff last year.

Direct quotes from my guy:

I would've said before that game that USC could have the signals and it wouldn't matter. It makes sense though, USC couldn't score a TD against UF the week before and then went 9/9 in that game against a better defense.

Not really. Considering Michigan had our signals mapped out I would rather have beaten Clemson in the Orange Bowl then getting beat down in a playoff game.

I'm more pissed off that Hendon got hurt. Considering the previous Heupel/Beamer matchups, Hendon is probably handing the ball off every play at the point where he got injured. That dude is a straight up good human, he deserved to finish his college career on the field.

From the sound of it, Beamer has to take the fall. Which doesn't seem like a bad deal for USC. I'm sure this voids his buyout if there is one. If it goes above Beamer that's where shit could get real IMO.

Probably. It's sort of comical the lengths people are going to fuck over UT. Seems like these programs see UT as more of a threat than I do. Hell, out of all the teams you could potentially play if you're Michigan, UT is the one I would have been the least afraid of.

Better hope officials don't give UGA the UT treatment against Bama. If they're only going to call one penalty on Bama (a pre snap penalty they were forced to call), UGA isn't beating them. One penalty is some service academy shit. Ain't no way Bama can play a full game only committing one penalty.
