heard yesterday that things are fixing to get rough tires, food, gas Biden sabotaging ?

your opinion on thinking whoever is running Biden is fixing to Sabotage our gas by having the gasline attacked by his cyberteam ....(just saw on NewsMax ticker) heard yesterday car tires may be a year to get in.....next I project gas, then food ..

He doesn't have the cognitive ability to know what he's actually doing. But he definitely has people in his circle that clearly hate this country and freedom.

Beck reported that one of the big investment firms had an uptick of 80% for mentions of hyper inflation. Not just inflation but shockingly high inflation. If the JP morgan type co's are starting to publicly mention "hyper inflation" then you know that they've been worried about it for a few months and now they have to appear to care.

The shortages will go beyond just gas and food. It's going to hit everything and we don't have the labor to pull ourselves out of it quickly. Certain beer hasn't been sold in Louisville lately because they can't get it in. That is nuts to think Miller Brewing is having to stop shipping to certain cities because they can't meet demand.

Nobody wants to work. We have raised our starting pay twice since 2019. Hard to make a house when everyone want to do the designing and nobody want to drive a nail.

When the average take home pay is something like 39k, then you factor in the cost of student debt, apartment rent, healthcare, ridiculous cash for clunkers driven auto costs... stagnated wages aren’t cutting it anymore.

This.

The fact that 600$ a week in government cheese is even remotely desirable for folks as opposed to their wage is a sad indictment on our society.

My wife's mom made over 3.5M in total compensation last year and didn't work a day outside of the house. She works for a company that pays people 12 an hour for many position in store.

This isn't difficult to figure out. Make shit here and pay laborers.

What's the rate?
Went from $17 to $18.73/hr plus incentive. Someone with just a hs degree and a good work ethic could make $23/hr pretty easy after a month. 3 years ago that would of been considered a real good wage around here. We were $15/hr in 2019 and didn't have a problem hiring people... retention sucked but we could hire. Now you can't even get people to show up to an interview.

I value laborers more than I value people with most college degrees.

Guys in the steel mills around here make 23$ and I feel so bad for them. I couldn't imagine doing that work for that little of pay.

23 x 40 x 52 is only 47k.

you mean the idiots that got sheeped doesn't want to work and are lazy right? like the fructose cereal kids grown up today .....yeah they are worthless just like BLM ANTIFA and Joe Biden his son and the bitch ....and the fake Dr.

these cheesy stimulous checks are making them drool with anticipation and putting the nail in their coffins ....screw those checks...I think they are brainwashing the lazy majority and they are just A OK with it ....

So why did manufacturing employment go down? Shouldn't they be hiring to get ready for the ramp up?
Because they still have silly 6-foot rules and mask requirements on the assembly lines even those companies with automated assembly lines.

It was transportation goods, mostly parts, that accounted for 20k jobs lost of the net down 18,000 jobs. The article I read suggested it was tied possibly to the semi conductor shortage.

I think it’s a situation of where they are over hiring because the demand is there but their inputs are running shortages because everything has been shut down for a year plus now. Supply chains should be screwed up after this nonsense.

BIL works at Amazon. They have people on the floor with megaphones calling out employees breaking the six foot rule. They also contact trace and automatically revoke access if your phone ever came into contact with another possible covid case.

which group averages 39k? All American wage earners?

for all Americans? Does that average include part time workers? Teenagers/college students still in school?

the important number would be average household income where only FT wages are included in the average

Total nonfarm employment and it’s a median number. So half the US is earning less than that.

Was talking to a broker who works in the farm machinery/parts field. If this carries on into late summer/fall we’re going to be fvcked.

When harvest time comes its a balls to the wall run. There are always breakdowns, typically multiple breakdowns through a harvest season, it’s just part of farming. You don’t have 2 weeks much less a month or better to wait on a part. You have to have it now and have to be able to have a reliable source.

And when I say “we” I don’t mean just the farmers.

The construction industry has pretty much fucked itself. When I started the laying tile in the late 90's, the setters were making 20-22/hr. Now they pay 16-18/hr. You have to supply your own vehicle and tools. GTFOH. People can sit on their asses in the marijuana industry for those wages.

I see old customers/colleagues occasionally, and it is always the same story.... where did all the good workers go? Back when you were doing this, there were always a couple of elite craftsmen & hustling apprentices around town in various trades. Now, if it isnt a licensed trade, it is dicey at best.

Correct.

Anecdotal I know, in our small town as of today two of the fast food restaurants have gone back to drive through only & limited menus after being fully open since last June. Signs on both state it is due to a lack of help with help wanted signs at both locations.

The Flash foods is out of gas as of today & there’s been a .20c/gal jump across town at other stores.

This is the case in most fast food restaurants around atlanta, or at least in the suburbs where since public transportation or transportation costs makes it difficult to find cheap labor.

that's why here in South Carolina they are nixing unemployment next month...Biden communist plan is for you to become a lazy as thug

Shortage of food is what scares me most. How will that play out?
How will that play out?

Imagine the entire population panic buying, like with TP, but now it's every scrap of food in the grocery store. When it cannot be restocked as it normally is, now imagine the entire population HANGRY.

I know I get a little ornery when my stomach is grumbling. Now multiple that x America.
