Ok...while not a believer, it's still so interesting...all of it lol...although the lessons and morals I can get behind...There’s an app call the chosen too. I like the YouTube version because the dude talks about what has happened.
I won’t ever push my beliefs on someone. I respect everyone’s beliefs. First few episodes are character building, but it’s a damn good show I think.Ok...while not a believer, it's still so interesting...all of it lol...although the lessons and morals I can get behind...

I’m always shocked when I hear Christians say/write this. Where in your Bible does it say - Don’t push Jesus on others?I won’t ever push my beliefs on someone. I respect everyone’s beliefs. First few episodes are character building, but it’s a damn good show I think.
CS Lewis, among others, would be correct. No argument from me.I’m always shocked when I hear Christians say/write this. Where in your Bible does it say - Don’t push Jesus on others?
@Mr.Fitzwell - CS Lewis wrote - Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance, the only thing it cannot be is moderately important."
I usually ask non-believers what research they have done to come to their conclusion. Have they disproven Roman Historians that noted Jesus and his miracles? Or, the Bible itself?
I cannot prove God exists. Nobody can. For me it became an interesting discussion with the scientific community. Explain the Higgs-Boson/God Particle. It was a theory that came about in 1964. It’s wasn’t proven until 2012 at CERN by using the LHC - they observed a Boson that weighed approximately 126 GhV. So, why did they believe in it before they could prove it? These same people, most of them, don’t believe in God. The answer? They could “see” its existence in matter, they just didn’t know what it was. I tell you, that is how God is in our lives!!! I could sit with you and hear your life story. I promise there are things you would describe as “crazy” “coincidence” “weird”… my own life I have seen a child healed in 90 days - contrary to X-rays, I child survive birth and the pediatrician a year later describing the lungs as a person that had drowned, and many other odd things.
It isn’t that God doesn’t exist. It’s that we refuse to acknowledge His presence in our lives.
Lastly, I’m also curious, always, about ethics and morals. If there is no God then why ethics and morals? The only thing we know for certain is that when an atheistic state exists murder and destruction comes next. There has not been an atheistic state that has not followed the path of murdering its own people and those that disagree with them once they have my power. It seems the atheistic morals get thrown aside once power is achieved… moral atheists? They just don’t have authority.
I really enjoy this type of discussion. I look forward to your thoughts.
You’re absolutely correct! I told all of my kids when they turned 16 - you have been brainwashed by your mother and me! You cannot stand on our believes. You will fail. Do the research.CS Lewis, among others, would be correct. No argument from me.
Answering as honestly as I can, I simply cannot wrap my head around the God as anything other than what I believe is a really good idea. Other thing, like math/science just make more sense TO ME...my personal belief is that, like all other living things, we're born, we live, and we die...again, not trying to disprove anything or anyone else...thus just makes the most sense to me...
Ethics/morals...if I were raised in another place and time, mine would most likely be different...I'm part of a Christian household and upbringing, and tend to follow some/most of the teachings in regards to how to treat/interact with others...a societal thing...my general interactions with others have been predominantly Christians, being raised in SC in the 80's and 90's...mostly socially acceptable, and pleasant...I would probably have different thoughts if I were raised in Greece around the time of the Persian invasion lol
That honestly sound interesting AF...hopefully they have a video or it's "on tape" so I could listen...dyslexia is a B...You’re absolutely correct! I told all of my kids when they turned 16 - you have been brainwashed by your mother and me! You cannot stand on our believes. You will fail. Do the research.
I agree on science and math. Sooooo, what are the calculations on our planets position? Just happened? What happens if the earth moved 1 mile in any direction? And this just”happened”? What about evolution? What do mathematicians say about it? Are you familiar with the concept of “irreducible complexity”?
If you want to stretch a little - read “the Creator and the Cosmos - by Hugh Ross. He has a degree in Physics and a phd in Astronomy… and a couple of other degrees.
I’d really enjoy your thoughts on that book. It’s all science and math.
Moving out of your thread… mea culpa extended for taking it over.Let me know what you think even if you don’t like it. By the fourth(?) episode I was hooked.
I’m a very reserved person. He created me this way. I attend church and pray every single day. I am not a teacher. I’m a follower of Christ.I’m always shocked when I hear Christians say/write this. Where in your Bible does it say - Don’t push Jesus on others?
